In the year 2000 I went to Malawi knowing that I had a job to do that would contribute to helping people less fortunate, but I really did not know what to expect to find. Least of all did I know that I would choose to go back because of what I found there that year.

I returned because of the people I engaged with; their warm smiles, their gentle nature, their welcome, and hospitality shared with me.

More impressively, I was witness to their spirit of hope, respect, and perseverance for life. In all these qualities, I experience God in the spirit of these people and I feel alive with the love of Christ as I worked with them daily. By doing what the apostles have taught us, we physically propagate the truth and wisdom in what Christ showed us and died for. Through working together with the Malawians, I witness the eternal life of His Spirit. Together as one we have demonstrated the empowerment of His spirit in accomplishing the impossible…429 wells serving approximately 100,000 people!
