“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…” That’s the prayer we pray. I’ve been praying that prayer for over 50 years. “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven…”
The world is in chaos. Famine, war, terrorism. Things are out of balance. We must do something. But what? How should the people of God respond? Apart we are weak and together we are strong. It’s not what one person can do, or what a few people can do. But what we can do together as God’s people, working hand in hand, together as the body of Christ. Together as God’s people the impossible is possible.
Marion Medical Mission’s 2002 mission trip was the best ever!!!!!!!!! What a fantastic trip, God’s blessings were so evident. The second team returned from Malawi on November 13, 2002. MMM’s team one and team two were in Malawi for six weeks. Working hand in hand with the people of Malawi, 429 wells were installed providing 100,000 people with safe drinking water!!!
We went into Tanzania for the first time ever starting a shallow well program working with the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Tanzania, Konde Diocese building 40 wells! We went into the central region of Malawi working with the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian, Synod of Nkhoma building 40 shallow wells. We continued our work in Malawi with the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian, Synod of Livingstonia building 349 wells!!!!
The head of Water Aid for the country of Malawi told us that we have provided more potable water than all the other organizations working to provide safe drinking water in Malawi combined!!! How is this possible?!!!! How can this be? It is possible only because we have come together as the body of Christ working together hand in hand as one people, a people of God!!
