The 2006 Marion Medical Mission Team installed 972 shallow wells with 121 more to be finished after they left, bringing the total to  1,093 wells. They also preached in a number of churches, presented workshops in several schools and assisted at the schools and hospital.

This year we added two more vehicles while retiring just one.   This gave us eight vehicles to use – so we had eight teams in the field installing wells.

This year, the quality of the pump parts was much improved, although we had problems with pipe quality and with our aggressive installation plans (1,000 wells targeted), we had some challenges getting all the parts where and when we wanted. Even with these challenges, we were able to install everything that was built on time.
